EYEBROW HAIR TRANSPLANTS

WHAT ARE EYEBROW HAIR TRANSPLANTS?

This is a very precise procedure performed on both men and women using our automated Follicular Unit Extractive (FUE) Hair Transplant System called the Neograft. This system uses a superior vacuum extraction technique to expertly harvest hairs from the back of your head. This technique does not leave any nasty scars on the back of your head. In fact, once the hair grows back in the donor area, you can’t even tell the follicles were ever extracted. The FUEs are then meticulously transplanted so the new eyebrow cannot be distinguished from natural ones.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW?

This procedure is perfect for anyone who has partial or patchy eyebrows, scarring in this area, unnatural looking tattooing, medical or genetic conditions which can cause hair loss, and more.
It is very important that you be very selective when choosing a specialist to perform your eyebrow transplant. Eyebrow hair restoration requires expert technique, artistic ability, precision, and significant experience. The hairs of the eyebrow grow in a pattern at different angles and they must be transplanted in this fashion to give that natural look. Eyebrow hairs also grow in cycles and even though the hair is harvested from your head, in a few cycles your transplanted hair will grow exactly like eyebrow hairs. It’s AMAZING!

WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE INVOLVE?

The procedure is performed in our state-of-the-art surgical facility. The area will be marked with temporary ink to outline the final result and the patient will be asked to verify all markings are to their satisfaction. The FUEs will be extracted from the donor site after the area has been numbed with local anesthesia. Once all the FUEs have been extracted, the area of the eyebrow will be numbed with local anesthesia and the grafts will be implanted. When the procedure is completed, you will have a bandage on the donor site, which can even be hidden by growing your hair long enough to camouflage it. You go home that same day with minimal pain.

HOW LONG IS RECOVERY AND WHEN CAN I RESUME MY NORMAL ACTIVITIES?

The beauty of this procedure compared to other techniques is there is little to no downtime. Most people return to work the very next day. The donor site hair will be nicely grown in by two weeks. It is important to know that hair grows in cycles. Shortly after your transplant process, the transplanted hairs will fall out and your eyebrow will look like it did before the grafting. Don’t PANIC! The hairs will follow their growth cycle and start to regrow in three months. At nine months to one year, you will see full growth.
